We are thrilled to have received a wonderfully unexpected donation of $5,000 from our long-time community partner the Junior League of Central and North Brevard. An enormous thank you to the dedicated members. Since the 1990’s, the enthusiastic members of the Junior League of Central and North Brevard have been an integral part of Crosswinds by providing hundreds of hours of volunteer support from decorating the Shelter, to planting flowers, and wrapping holiday gifts. Throughout the years the members have donated additional proceeds and much need items for children and youth in Crosswinds’ programs. We are grateful for their many years of irreplaceable support in helping change the lives of many vulnerable children and their families in Brevard County.
The Robert E. Lehton Children’s Shelter bedrooms received new bedding and mattresses thanks to Truist, its employees, and to Beyer Brown & Associates. A very special thank you to our longtime supporter and former employee Nancy Carter, Vice President, Premier Banker at Truist (formerly SunTrust) for helping to organize the much needed new bedding (donated by Truist and its employees) and twenty new box springs mattresses (donated by Beyer Brown & Associates). We are extremely grateful for Nancy, the team at Truist, and Beyer Brown & Associates for helping to make the bedrooms here more comfortable for the youth. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful community partners and community members who give and help better the lives of some of our most vulnerable youth.
