Juvenile Assessment Center Services

The reconfigured Brevard County Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC), developed by Crosswinds, law enforcement, and other community partners, opened on November 1, 2004.  The JAC’s principle goal is to ensure that all Brevard County youth in need of services, including those who are arrested and those at risk of delinquency, receive a comprehensive assessment and services.  The JAC is a non secure facilty.

The JAC is accessible to law enforcement 24-hours a day and is designed to reach more arrested and at-risk youth and their families with the timeliest intervention.

Services Include:

  • Substance abuse and mental health screening
  • Comprehensive assessment
  • Linkages to other Crosswinds and community services
  • Family Therapy for arrested youth on probation
