The reconfigured Brevard County Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC), developed by Crosswinds, law enforcement, and other community partners, opened on November 1, 2004. The JAC’s principal goal is to ensure that all referred Brevard County youth in need of services, including those who are arrested and those at risk of delinquency, receive a comprehensive assessment and services. The JAC is a non-secure facility.
The JAC is accessible to law enforcement 24-hours a day and is designed to reach more arrested and at-risk youth and their families with the timeliest intervention.
